Pink ladybug, a more narrow shape and a bit of an unusual color compared to most other ladybugs, but it is still a ladybug, in the family Coccinellidae. Calgary.

Definitely different from the ladybugs I'm used to seeing. Very nice job on that shot, Archibald. Great detail.

Nice shot of the bee, and nice colors!

They are often covered with pollen, and I suppose the white dots are out-of-focus pollen. But I can't explain why they all seem to be OOF by about the same amount.

It could be pollen but not the usual cover though as it was white. This was quite granulated if you will.

It does look different from the usual. But I guess there are different kinds of pollen....

Yes, pollen: different flowers, different pollen!

Definitely pollen, and I don't think they're out of focus. Some flowers (like Malva, for example) have pretty large and whitish pollen. I have some shots of bees on Malva flowers - I can post one later when I'm at home.

C&C always welcome

Nice shot, Archibald. I learned something today. I'm one of those people who thought all bot flies had red eyes.

Nice shot, pcs. That bee is so laden with pollen, he won't be able to fly.
