Fairy Longhorn Moth. Impossible to get get good detail on the moth and also get in the incredible length of the antenna. :rolleyes:

A couple of different leafhoppers. These are true bugs of the insect order Hemiptera. Calgary.

After taking a few pictures this Long Legged Fly I noticed the preflash would cause him to fly away for a split second and immediately return. As I looked at the images he was in the air in a lot of them. Most were to blurry but a few came out pretty good.

Most of the leafhoppers I encounter are pretty discrete. They blend with their surroundings and are tiny too. But there are exceptions. Here is a leafhopper from the Netherlands. I don't know what advantage the bright colors give them.
