You captured great detail, Archie. His eyes are quite high up from his body, presumably to aid a better view. Harvestperson : love it!

Nice shot. It is a golden spotted tiger beetle, cicundela aurulenta, according to Google lens.

Not sure whether this image counst. One of several shots of a Marbled White butterfly. I didn't find it so easy getting this shot .

Very nice, Rebecca. Butterfly in flight? Wow, that is a challenge.

In this thread (and often in the outside world too), the word bug is used to mean any small joint-legged critter, and that includes butterflies.

Ambush Bug nymph. Check out those vicious claws. These guys are hard to spot on flowers.

I THINK this is a syrphid fly larvae, no idea as to the genus or species. I'm sure some of you know far better than I so if you know specifically let me know.

Google Lens says it is a yellow-shouldered slug moth. It is the larva. Note, the singular is larva. It's a Latin word. One larva, many larvae. Very cool picture! Never seen it before.

yup, that is it... no wonder I couldn't find one to match it exactly. I haven't used Google lens I'll have to give that a try. I have various resources, but sometimes they all fail (including just looking through bugguide.net. Thank you. Yes, I messed up the plurality/singular

Another photo of my Marbled White butterfly. Hard to take, I admit. But most of the success is due to my new Olympus OMD 1 micro4/3 camera. Its a bit like a mini Sony A1 in performance. And Topaz de Noise.
