This Long-legged Greenfly didn't get too spooked by the pre-flash so I was able to adjust my position to get a couple of front end shots.:-)

NOTE: Using Canon RF 100mm F2.8L IS USM macro lens (not yet in database).

Thanks, I think that resolving more detail in the eyes may be the result of the improved 1.4:1 macro ratio for the RF 100mm F2.8L, as I always struggled with the 1:1 of the EF 100mm F2.8 L at MFD.

I also find the 1.4x to be a big help. And AF works to that magnification. It's not perfect but works.

Tonight, the wind is howling and gusting - certainly not the right conditions for night photography!

Didn't stop me though folks!

This is the Steatoda bipunctata (one of the false widow spiders, also known as the Rabbit Hutch Spider) on the garden fence wrapping up her capture - a hapless small froghopper.
