I tried to edit the text saying that Carolina Mantis was female, but finally remembered that the longer than abdomen wings would make it a male.

I’m not sure which species of wasp this is. I probably took this shot down in a large flower, maybe squash?
However the thing which has always baffled me is its Proboscidea, and its eyes look dead. I’ve wondered if this is some sort of parasite that has turned the bee into a zombie?
Has anyone ever seen this before?
