Reason for Selling: Picked up a 600L IS

I'm the second owner of this glass... The original owner was a professional wildlife photographer... Unfortunately, he didn't use any protective cover on the body, so there are several nicks and scratches throughout (8/10 rating)... Pictures below are from the previous owner... Front and rear elements are clean, however, there are a few internal dust particles (pictures forthcoming)... But nothing to obstruct image quality... All buttons and switches work perfectly, as it should... Since acquiring this glass a few years ago, I've used it for local wildlife photography (birds and such), as well as several surfing competitions (US Open, NSSA, WSL) here in Southern California... Shooting wide open (f/4.5) is very respectable, but its "sweet spot" is between f/5.6 through f/9... Sharpness is amazingly good... And the image compression at 500mm is something to behold!!! Sample pictures below with this glass... On a side note, this will only take a 1.4x TC (teleconverter) with full auto focusing capabilities... It can take a 2x TC, however, but it'll be full manual focusing... This has been my experience with my Canon TC's (Mark 2 version)... I don't know if this will be the case if you use a third-party TC brand like Kenko or Sigma... So YMMV, depending on what manufacturer you use... As mentioned above, I'm selling because of my recent 600L IS pick up... In addition, I'm not looking for any trades and such... This is purely a sales transaction...
