Please help me identify what this pole is

I found this mixed with my gear and I have no idea what it is. Is it a pole for a boom mic? It is pretty light weight, and the two pieces fit/lock together. There are no model numbers or names on it.

Looks like crosspoles for a background stand.
There may be 2 (or more) missing that have the attachment slots for the stands.
