Agreed, sadly this was an early photo with the A7 and the light out was really bright and harsh period. I was experimenting/getting used to the camera/working distance/depth of field/manual focusing/working with full frame and a new lens and this one of only a few where things "sort of" worked out ok

If i had to do it over id wait for a cloudy/overcast time i think, or at least one without the sun being so hard

Clouds make for really good diffusion, but there are options for taming the light. I carry and use PhotoFlex LiteDiscs. Very light weight and they fit on a carabiner on my belt loop.

I've been meaning to get something like that for some time to be honest.. Im not usually up at the BEST light times.. lol
