Yes, and in this case the hardware should have been a it more upmarket and I should have used my 5D 3 as the prop as a more professional take on the shot.

I agree, the macro ring light also throws it off...For putting a camera on a model (even if they too are photogs), go with higher end DSLR and simple (maybe prime with wide glass) and no hot shoe flash, minimal but higher end, as the model is very attractive, so the hardware should be also.

Like the second one (minus the lens cap), pretty eyes, nice lighting. First one, besides some things mentioned by others, it bugs me she is holding the camera one handed. But that is one of my old-school pet peeves. Technically they are really nice.
