Here's another small boat that could be used for a bird blind.
This one is actually pure genius if you ask me, it weighs very little and can be carried in by backpack style. These are lightweight fiberglass and the small ones weigh only 25lbs. The larger one weighs in at around 64lbs. (I don't know what the difference is between the two, to be honest)
They can be carried on top of your vehicle or even in the trunk.

This of course is not for wide open waters, but for close to shore fishing or a bird blind, it wouldn't take much to make a bird blind out of this, (camouflage tarp, etc) to get closer to the birds.
