This is a heavy duty bracket that can handle a flash as heavy as the Flahpoint 360 TTL.
It is based on the camera flip mechanism of a Stroboframe bracket but it is bigger and beefier. It can handle a gripped camera with a Flashpoint trigger mounted.
I made it from 1/4 x 1.25" aluminum stock but, was disappointed in that I couldn't bend that material However, I used L brackets and screws to put it together.
The flash is mounted with an Arca Compatible clamp attached to the unit wit a 1/4 x 20 screw. An Arca plate is attached to the top of the bracket and the flash clamps onto the plate. I can adjust the position of the flash or even change the flash altogether.
I have an Arca Plate on the bottom of the bracket allowing me to attach the bracket to a ripod.
Switching from horizontal to vertical camera positions is done with the Camera Flip bracket that I salvaged from a Stroboframe unit. IMAGE LINK: https://photos.smugmug.com …cket_5428-X3.jpg&lb=1&s=A
I also salvaged the wood handle from an old Stroboframe bracket. That is not a necessary requirement but, makes things easier to handle. I can use a modifier such as a small softbox on this heavy duty bracket...
