I've been experimenting with my newly acquired Yongnuo YN-24EX twin flash. When I took the shot of the Harlequin Bug, I didn't see that the Grasshopper was there until I got home . I've got a set of Jason's diffusers coming in a few days that'll try with my MP-E65 :-D. The Harlequin Bug in the 2nd shot looks like he's been (bee's) waxed and polished ;-)a.

Very nice! With those long antennas, that would be a katydid. Sharp images of both bugs.

Howdy Archibald,

Funny, I realized after looking at someone else's shot here, that mine was a Katydid . Since I had stuck "grasshopper" in the title, I figured I was pretty-much outa luck to fix it ;-)a.

No problem, it's the pic that counts. :-)

Howdy Davholla,

I just received a set of these diffusers from Jason in the U.K. this afternoon (a few days early!) :-).
https://photography-on-the.net …/showthread.php?t=1492615

Very nice 3D printer build quality :-D. I had planned on using them mostly with my MP-E65 but I actually like them even more with my 100mmL since the focus distance gives me a little more latitude with positioning the diffusers. I did a few quick tests tonight and the diffusion looks really nice. By the way, the YN-24EX Modeling Light LEDs sure come in handy at night . I'll have to get some more carefully taken shots since I was experimenting with handheld live view with my 5D4 and in a bit of an uncomfortable kneeling position so my focus was a bit sloppy . The diffusers were just test-positioned at 10am and 2pm.

Howdy Hayath,

Yeah, neither of those first two shots had any diffusion at all. I was just using the raw YN-24EX heads. Now that I have the diffusion accessories from Jason, it's time to go back and get some comparison shots!
