Looking to see how much empty space available most are leaving empty on the External Hard Drives full of RAW images (CR2).
2TB drives.
Having exported all of my Aperture Managed RAW files onto 2 2TB external LaCie Rugged Drives, I have now imported 2013-2018 today.
2016-2018 on one drive.
2013-2015 on the other. This drive has 700 GB available at about 33% availability.
Wonder if I can squeeze 2012 on as well and leave that all important empty space?

For HDD, and especially your usage (sequential "cold" data), there is no reason to leave that much empty space.
