The EXIF listing on posted images is very handy.

I have noticed a few times, when trying offer advice to someone experiencing problems, it hampers that advice not being able to see all the EXIF info, like if AF was used for example, if flash fired, the focus mode etc.

Something that might be handy is a popup to list all the available EXIF data, perhaps via a little button a bit like the spectacles for 100% view.

I appreciate this would be difficult to code for all the possible cases, a simple default text output from Exiftool would be fine but might have licencing issues.

I've often wanted to know what the mode was, particularly: Af, Tv, M, or something else. Of course, revealing it might embarrass any Auto users.

Probably more embarrassing for the ones claiming that full manual is the only way to go. A good picture is a good picture is a good picture....

More EXIF info would certainly be useful at times. But many posters strip the EXIF data from their pics. We need to encourage folks to leave the EXIF in.

I used to use a browser plugin that would give EXIF info, the one I used might not work with newer Windows and I don’t know about Mac software options but there may be others making them. I used Opanda IExif.

I use EXIF Viewer, a browser add-on, if I want to see the full EXIF.
Click on the glasses, then right-click on the pic and you'll see this:

I'm not intending to minimize the original suggestion, since this won't apply to all pictures posted here. But for pictures linked with flickr.com, the link takes you to the page for that photo and what appears to be very complete EXIF data.

EXIF Viewer (V3.7.1) did not work for me either - but I am using an unusual browser.

When I click on the glasses, then right click on the image I get this:

Open image in new tab
Save image as....
Copy image
Copy image address
Search Google for address

I am also using Windows 10 and Google Chrome

I do know that Levina uses an Apple computer.

Ah, I thought it would be clear from the EXIF in the screenshot that I'm on a Mac. :-P
Sorry about not explicitly mentioning that.

But I'm sure there must be a browser plugin/add-on for Windows that does the same?

There is such a browser plugin/add-on, but it does not seem to work in the forum. Oddly enough, it does function in Facebook, showing a small message that there is no EXIF. That seems to confirm it is installed properly. But it seems to do nothing for POTN or other web images.

Did you zoom in to a 100% by clicking the glasses? That is what I need to do to make the plugin work.
