I’ve done a previous challenge where I provided a poem and asked for images that would represent it. I really enjoyed the results from that one. Now I’m asking you to think of your favourite line from a song and tie an image to that!
Put the lyric in the text field along with the name of the song and artist.
Like it says at the bottom…have fun!

Challenge ends on Monday, July 16 at 7pm PST.

CHALLENGE RULES:
1. Camera: Any DIGITAL CAMERA is allowed, (not just DSLR)
2. Time: Any on-topic photo taken at any time is eligible, although photos that have won other competitions should NOT be entered.
3. Size: See standard P.O.T.N. Image Posting Rules.
4. Post Processing: Do whatever you like and the host will decide if it works.
5. Posting: ONE PHOTO per photographer in each challenge.
6. Details: Show camera model & lens used. Post brief EXIF data including ISO, shutter speed and aperture used.
7. Commenting: Please, NO COMMENTING DURING CHALLENGE feel free to comment in this thread after a winner is declared.
8. Content: Keep it clean, and both Family and Work safe.
9. Have questions? PM me.
10. Have FUN!

* THE WINNER ALWAYS SETS THE THEME FOR THE NEXT CHALLENGE, POSTS IT AND JUDGES IT - BE PREPARED! A new challenge should be posted ASAP after you have been declared the winner.

Waiting for the winds of change
To sweep the clouds away

(Waiting for the rainbow's end
To cast its gold your way
Countless ways
You pass the days)

shep207 – I really like this shot, very moody with the fog going out (or coming in?), very evocative of the song
teekay – love this nostalgic feel of this one, reminds me of my own grad (except I never had the hot girls or the car…). If you cropped the group on the left out, you might think it was taken back in the day…
texkam – took me a minute…bum, bum, bum, ba buh bum, ba buh bum
OldCrow – one of my grad songs, great composite
Ltdave – nice shot, captures the lyrics well

1st place – I have to give this one to teekay, I think the shot is good and captured the lyrics to the song really well
2nd place – very close second to shep207, the moodiness of the shot really matches the voice of the singer
3rd place – OldCrow grabs third with another jaunt down memory lane

Take it away teekay…

Congrats Teekay. Great shot that captures the lyrics well, as darkslinger said.

Congrats to OldCrow too.

I enjoyed this week's challenge and it got a good number of entries.

My own pick would have been OldCrow's clever Tequila shot, but thanks, darkslinger! Yeah, I maybe should have cropped a bit more, but I left a bit of an umbrella in to show it was raining hard during that whole grad parade through downtown - a tradition here. Only 11 years ago but must indeed seem "back in the day" for those teens, some now struggling with new babies, finding work, looking for somewhere affordable to live etc.

P.S. That Firebird is still running, still looks like new ;-)a

New challenge now up: https://photography-on-the.net …/showthread.php?t=1498166
