I am looking for a camera backpack to not only carry my canon 60D, tamron 70-300 VC, tamron 28-75 and canon 580ex plus also carry a CPAP machine. I am going to take it as a personal carry on bag on the airplane. Anybody out there that travel with a CPAP machine and camera gear?

Thanks,
Alberto Ayala

I don't have a CPAP machine... what are the dimensions? Any other gear?

Have a look at the Mindshift Backlight 26L and see if the dimensions will fit your needs.

The main dividers run lengthwise on the Backlight, and to fit the CPAP you'd either need different dividers, or to cut the included ones to fit your gear, or remove them completely and use your own wraps inside the main compartment... but I think the Backlight 26L should fit those items.

When we flew to Florida I didn't want to bring a camera backpack. So I got a day pack and an insert. It is sized for a carry on as it fits in the overhead or under the seat. This combo allowed me to take the following in my bag with loads of spare room:

Canon 7D with grip removed
EF 70-200 F4 (w/hood)
Sigma 30mm EX DC (w/hood)
EF-S 15-85 (w/hood)
4 batteries and 2 chargers

Note: All equipment was in the insert.

I have no affiliation with the following links.. They are the products I purchased...

https://www.rei.com …3/osprey-escapist-32-pack (external link) (M/L size)
https://www.amazon.com/gp/product/B01EUUDRU0 (external link)

I can reuse the backpack for other travel and will do this same trip again next year.

Just another option... YMMV...

I purchased a Lowepro protactic 450. I Haven't tried it out yet but is should hold gear and Cpap with battery. We are doing a tour of Kenya, Tanzania and Zanzibar. The flight to Zanzibar is restricted to 35 lbs total per person so its going to be 3 weeks wearing the same clothes.
I have a Kata MiniBee Backpack but the frame is too wide for carry on which is too bad because its a wonderful bag and nice to wear.
