Yes...I am not very good at composing shots...but I am learning a lot here. It has become my favourite reading lately. Do you recommend getting eye level to most your subjects (in general)? I have a lot of 'tilted' photos ![]() Try it and find out. Not only eye level but other levels as well. Let the camera be the tool that hleps you expand the perception of the world around you. Actually I was half resting on the back of the sofa where he was sat looking out of the window. It was fairly close-up with a 50mm 1.4 and I stopped down to about f3.5 to get a little depth of field (not enough though!). A little sharpening brings out the detail. .
