Lovely.
I'm curious Stephen. With all those frogs are snakes thriving, increasing?

Inspeqtor wrote in post #19465900 (external link)
NO!! NO!! Tell me it is not so!!!!!!!!!

Chares yes it IS so!!

I don't think there are more frogs than usual this season, it's just that I've been out actively looking for them. However, I've only seen two snakes during that time (Keelback and Green Tree Snake), and both of them eat frogs.

Yes, it's a great name! It refers to the sound they make.

Thanks Lyn! Here's another Pobblebonk showing some nice colours :-)

That's natural life Charles.
Opportunity strikes.
Australia is a land of contrasts. When the rains come so does the wildlife.
It's uncanny how things happen.
Snakes are just part of that

Yes Richard, I really was aware that snakes do eat the frogs.

I was just being silly!! Is that not allowed here??? :p :p

In case you did not see my partially hidden text I made it fully visible here! ;-)a;-)a

All good Charles
I realised your light heartedness. Was more commenting on how things changes so rapidly when it rains here in the outback more than other places.
Sorry - should have commented differently

Great capture!

Thanks very much sogs!

Keeping the frog theme going, here's our resident wild Green Tree Frog in our garden last night.

I was trying to get a good shot of the Sooty Oystercatchers the other day when the autofocus decided the background was more important :-)

Well done

I'm curious as to where that awesome gorge is in the mugshot?
It is rather unique and looks very interesting

I was/am conscious of not taking away from your credit owed.
The geology is what grabbed my attention.
Certainly would be a beautiful place to explore and experience.

haha, don't worry Richard ;-)a

I came through Hughenden on my way to the East Coast and was stopping to stretch my legs. Went into the tourist information and saw photos of the gorge, which was about 40k north of Hughenden. I decided to stay overnight and go for an exploration. I was not disappointed. The whole area is very interesting and also part of the dinosaur trail. Although I didn't discover any in my photos that time ;-)a
