RESULTS

Both of these are appealing images with strong colors and thoughtful compositions along a diagonal. I wish I could declare a tie. I can't, though. First place has to go to one or the other. It goes to Martin for the balance among several colors and the detail shown in the contrasting textures. Jim, your meadow seems a refreshing place to take a walk. The shot suggests that there were more flowers where those came from.

Winner: Stiga
Runner-up: JimAskew

Thanks for the accolade!

Now comes the difficult part; thinking of a topic that attracts lots of entries/

Martin, the title of the new thread needs updating. "Primary Colors" carried over from this thread.

Congratulations Martin...wonderful photo. Thanks OhLook for the kind comments on both our entries :-)

I’ve been dealing with some major storm issues this week. We had a very large tree fall across our backyard during a really bad storm.

Jim, that's a piece of bad luck, but at least the tree didn't fall on anyone. It was good of you to send in a challenge entry in the midst of such difficulties.

Thanks Jim.

That's a big stick that fell in your yard - hope it did not do much damage. I had a similar experience in 2011.

We dodged a big hit for sure! $3K to remove the tree and root ball, and $7.3K of damage to the house and fence! My cost was $500 for the my insurance deductible. :p

Wow, that's big buicks -?

Fortunately, I was able to cut up the side branches. But my son-in-law cut up the fallen trunk
