I've been combining poems and portraits. And I'd like to start doing portraits with shorter messages too - such as simple anti-suicide messages.

What would you call this, what's the best title for the kind of works I'm creating?

Religious?

Only some of it. For example, anti-suicide messages will likely lack any religious references.

icor, the image that isn't yours requires its copyright holder's permission for posting here.

I agree with Chris's suggestion: "inspirational." The more religious compositions might be called devotional.

The first image is CC0 license, so I have that.

Thanks!

Right.

But here on POTN we are concerned with complying with forum rules, not just copyright law.

Do Pekka's forum rules say that it is okay to post another photographer's images if we have a CC0 license for them?

.

"Your" and "you're" are different words with completely different meanings - please use the correct one.
"They're", "their", and "there" are different words with completely different meanings - please use the correct one.
"Fare" and "fair" are different words with completely different meanings - please use the correct one. The proper expression is "moot point", NOT "mute point".

It's not really conclusive whether a CCO license constitutes "permission from that photographer" or not.

Awwww ..... darn. . It was cool to see what you'd been doing. . Sometimes the rules can keep us from including interesting content in our posts.

I'd say that's what a CC0 is.. permission. We can't assume the photographer to have time to give permission for every specific request, but he chose in advance to permit everything. Might even be dead, and wanted his work to be shared.

Got what I needed from here, I think. :)

CC0 sure seems like permission to me.
