Just for the heck of it, I decided to click on the very last page of this forum just to see what was there. To my surprise, it went back over 17 years. It was actually quite interesting to take a look into the past and the things we were dealing with and realize just how far digital photography has come in 17+ years. I bought my first digital camera in "98, so I've watched it develop and grow into what it is today and that may have actually made it even more interesting to look back. If you find yourself with a little time to kill and want to "time travel", I would suggest looking back to the earliest posts posted....just don't reply to them :)

In another fora, many years ago, just for fun I went to the very first posts that were made on each forum.

I actually spend a lot of time every month looking at posts that are 10 to 17 years old. . I figure that the old posts and threads deserve as much time as the new ones, because I can learn just as much from history as I can from the current (perhaps even more so).

I have never understood why most people seem to favor new, current things instead of old things. . It is just as important to revisit the old as it is to discover the new. . I wish that more people would revive old threads, instead of only responding to the newer ones.

I frequently reach out to POTN members who haven't posted in several years. . I try to find out what happened to them, why they are no longer on POTN, and what they're up to now. . This has led to several phone calls to former members, and I've had some really good, nostalgic conversations with guys from the earlier days of POTN.

.

"Your" and "you're" are different words with completely different meanings - please use the correct one.
"They're", "their", and "there" are different words with completely different meanings - please use the correct one.
"Fare" and "fair" are different words with completely different meanings - please use the correct one. The proper expression is "moot point", NOT "mute point".
