Looking to get a couple of batteries (NB-10L equivalent) for my son's SX60HS. Are Wasabis still considered the go-to brand? Other options on Amazon seem to be OaProda, Vivitar, Powerextra, etc., all with more or less equivalent (4.5 ish) star ratings.

Thanks!

If I don't get the shots I want with the gear I have, the only optics I need to examine is the mirror on the bathroom wall. The root cause will be there.

I am interested in this as well because the Lenmar just gave up the ghost, it won't hold a charge. I'm looking for a battery for my 1ds mk2. Canon's batteries are extremely expensive in Canada which is why I am looking for a 3rd party battery. Thank you.

I don't think I would necessarily term Wasabi as "the go-to brand" but understand that I'm not casting out a negative. I personally have several SterlingTEK and I'm very pleased. Whatever you get, I suggest dealing directly with the importer or someone that has high turnover like B&H. That insures fresh batteries and the most up to date chips.

SterlingTEK, sometimes called STK can be found at http://sterlingtek.trynt.com/ (external link)

Wasabi can be found at https://www.bluenook.com/ (external link)

I have bought a number of different Wasabi batteries and they all have served me well. No complaints here.

Lately my Wasabi is a little more reliable than the original Canon that is acting weird in the charger every now and then. I bought them both at the same time.

Wasabi Canon compatible batteries for me have performed better than OEM.

I have been using Sterlingtek alongside my canon batteries for ten years without any problems. I have also tried some Wasabi batteries and they seem to work well.

Sterlingtek, Wasabi, Powerextra are the 3 I bounce between.

So you ask the question, there are 2 or 3 common answers, and you go with none of them? ;)

I'm on my second set of Wasabi LP-E6 cells. I can't tell them from Canon versions. I just bought a pair of Wasabi NB-12L w/charger for my BSN(R) G7X2. The charge w/o getting hot, and they fit and power the camera. I'm happy all the way around.

Not only that, the Watson LP-E6N is $40. See https://www.bhphotovideo.com …ium_ion_battery_pack.html (external link).

The Wasabi, or the STK, direct off their websites is $14. Both also are "shown" to have higher capacity.
