This is one of those photos that I did not appreciate the first time I saw it on the camera screen. I was preparing the lights and gear for a photoshoot of my 2 week old newborn, my wife and I, and both set of grandparents. I asked her to jump in quickly after breastfeeding the baby, to check the framing, as the wall behind her was small, and I did not have too much space to maneuver in my apartment. After going through all the images, this one caught my attention. This IS her, my best photo of her so far. No make-up, no fancy clothes, just the way she is at home. The woman I'm incredibly proud of. My wife, the mother of my son.

Well said and well shot. If that is who she really is.... perfect. Like the very smooth lighting, but with good catch lighting. At first I was a bit bothered by the tight crop to her elbow, but then again I've asked my wife to do the same, and she couldn't wait to get it over and get off frame....so that almost out of frame works for me on a personal level. Nicely done.

I really wish her zipper wasn't down on her pants, and the strap on her shoulder was straight. She poses like my wife when I tell her to stand in for a lighting setup.

In for potential follow up when wife finds out husband posted pic of her with her zipper down.

:D

I have had so many good shots from "I just need you for a test shot" shots, that I will now pretend I am "testing" and be ready for the goods.

I like the pic. The elbow thing kinda bothers me, but it's an easier fix than the zipper.

It was a 2 seconds pose . Sometimes it’s hard enough to get her to pose for a test shot. Didn’t notice the zipper until processing it and left it as it was, as for me, it adds to the shot. The crop, I decided to leave it as it was, I think it adds to the “can we get over this yet?” vibe

She doesn’t mind it at all. It was the first time with non maternity trousers, and probably forgot about it.

It's all fixable. It's always great when you can get any shot of a loved one!

Very nice, if, and only if, it is posted with her approval.

I’d never post anything online without her approval.
I wonder why people can be quite concerned about this post, but not others, like in the nude section of the forum. I do not see her in an unflattering pose or naked. It is just a different way of portraying her. I suppose that is one of the reasons why I love this photo of her. It can be a bit controversial, and all controversy is welcome.
