I am trying to place ads to send potential clients to my site. According to google analytics, my organic visitors spend 5min at my site on average.
I need some C and C for improvement please and thank you!

Have you considered the possibility that your site may be fine and that the problem is your advertising? Is it properly targeted? Are the people who see it actually potential clients? If your ads are driving the wrong people to your site they won't hang around no matter how good it looks.

On the home page, "About Yi" is a square block of elegantly formatted text. Very pretty, but I'm not going to try to read it.
Just sayin'. ; )

A wedding is a once in a lifetime ordeal, specially for a first wedding. The bride is looking to create a memorable experience for herself and her guests. Fantasy is key and that is what sells a wedding best.

The bride does not care about your journalistic style or that you can capture photos with technical merit (well, she does, but it's lower on her list). She wants to know is you can make her look dreamy and romantic. She want to know if your images can match her expectation of what her event is like in her head. For that you need to have your most romantic, awe inspiring photos right out in front on your landing page. You don't need 24 images or even 12 images. Six solid WOW! photos will do that. You want these images to tease the visitor into wanting to find out more about you. At the top of your home page you have too many images AND to many EH images mixed in with some WOW images. Remove the EHs and you'll have a solid front page. Get rid of everything else below. Who cares about all that. Remember, you want to control your potential client's movement through your site.

So now you have teased and tantalized your visitor. Where to next? About you? Who cares about you. Remember, it's not about you. It's about her. What can you do for her that no one else can? Write something catchy, something that will make her say, "I want this guy!" and make sure you intersperse some really great images in with the text. Keep it concise and to the point. Edit down and then edit some more. Intersperse it with some testimonials mixed in with the story. Instead of a block of text for a testimonial perhaps add the testimonial over an image and include that in with the story. As you write this remember the goal is to get them to take action to call you for the details. You can also invite the reader to view your gallery where you can place additional images not shown previously.

In your gallery is where you need to really edit for content. The images need to tell a visual story, not showcase how good you are with a camera. I find asking for help from a non photographer here helps a lot. We tend to favor certain images that may not be the best to showcase. You need to remove your personal taste from the editing process in favor of reaching the reader emotionally. Images that contain a lot of emotion (hugging and kissing couples, parents crying, bridesmaids laughing over something silly, children dancing on an adult's feet, etc.) really work well to "up the ante," as they say.

Finally you need to give them a way to complete the call to action; your contact page. Don't go generic here with NAME, EMAIL, DESCRIPTION. Ugh! Make it personal. You want to show you care. Ask questions that are pertinent to the event (wedding date, location, etc.), what services will they be needing (engagement photos, announcement photos, video, etc.) However, you need to balance it by keeping it modestly short. You can't have 50 questions.

If you want to include an about page don't make it about you. Remember, it's not about you. No one cares that you went to some fancy art college and went on a two year sabbatical into the Himalayas photographing extinct flowers. Turn it around and tell how your experience will benefit her most wonderful day, how you can solve their problems and help her achieve that fantasy that is in her head.

All that other stuff (information, how to, faq) that can all be bundled into your blog. If they want to read more, its there but not a part of the click funnel. Remember you want to lead them through a path that ends in a call to action. The blog and all that info is there for when they've hired you and need additional information.

Hope this helps you think about your website in a different way.

Cheers.

Some notes on your current site;

About Yi - As stated in the previous post, most people looking for a photographer could care less that you reside in MA or are a father of three and your doting wife makes you your morning latte. That is your fantasy, not the bride's. That information is something you can share later, once you've landed the client.

Need some tips on selecting your wedding photographer? I've got you covered, let's read on! - WHAT? Really? You're going to help a potential client find some other photographer? No way! Get rid of it.

Here is a potential rewrite for your ABOUT page

"Over the years, being a wedding photographer has given me the privilege of capturing some of the most priceless moments a couple can share as they embark on a new adventure as partners in life. A well captured photograph has an unspoken beauty, something that cannot be quantified with all the words in a dictionary. It even outlasts our own fallible memories. The moment your heart lifts when your partner gets down on one knee, the moment your eye twinkles as you walk down that aisle, the second your lips touch at the altar - every tear of joy, every blissful smile, every twinkled eye has its own story to tell. I treasure the unique opportunity to frame these breathtaking moments and feel honored in capturing these precious memories in time. Know that the story told in front of my lens will be yours and yours alone - you deserve it."

Notice I purposely kept it short and sweet, about her event and what you can do to make her fantasy come true.

Get rid of the watermarks on your images! - We already know who took the photos. We don't need to see them on each and every photo in your portfolio. That's just annoying as hell.

EDIT! - Your galleries have some pretty dull images mixed in with some really good ones. Edit, edit and edit. When you're done editing, edit some more. If you don't have enough content for separate galleries (engagement, pre-wedding, wedding) just combine them into a single gallery until a future point. Heck, it might even be better to just have one gallery that goes through the whole timeline as a storyboard. Just avoid repetition in people in the images. Nothing worse than seeing the same bride and groom all over the place.

Get rid of your prices - Once I find that page, there is no reason to even bother calling you. I'll take the info, say thank you and leave. You won't even know I was there. The problem with that is that it takes months to plan a wedding. If I read you price today I know I won't remember them tomorrow so I might write you off because of my poor memory. A memory that may lie to me thinking you were too expensive because yours was the first website I looked at and hadn't realized how much photography services really were. Remember the goal is to have them contact you so you can guide them through the process of choosing you over anyone else.

Sorry if I come across a little harsh. I don't like sugarcoating something that can potentially ruin someone's business.

Wow Duck, you shocked me by how much info and effort you put into the advise. I defiantly need some time to process it and think it through.
I do really appreciate your honest opinion. Do you mind telling me which images on the front page that "wow"ed you?
