White flag iris, butterfly iris ~ Diplarrena moraea
our native Iris are flowering but our spring has been wet and consequently the flowers take a battering

Bellendena montana (Mountain Rocket) is the only species of this ancient genus, and is restricted to the mountains of Tasmania. It is a smallish erect shrub with entire, glabrous, fairly succulent leaves. It grows in alpine and subalpine heaths and woodlands.
This one has flowered and seeded. (Flowers are small and white)
The seeded plants are more striking than the in flower ones in my opinion

not really sure where to post this
though called Grass tree they are distantly related to lilies
Beautiful plants when seen in masses or just alone and have beautiful long flower spikes which unfortunately don't have a photo of, but the remains of dead spikes are evident here
This one growing on east coast

Gentianella diemensis at Lake Mackenzie at 1100 metres
I was surprised to see Soldier Beetles on them.
Didn't imagine they would be at such high altitude

Very slow growing too. These specimens are probably decades old and many live for centuries.

Thanks Jo
Wasn't aware of that. But they are very worthy.
I thought they were beautiful up there in the mountains, and to see masses of them was so nice.
Not sure I'd seen as many before

50 years ago I walked up into the mountains and picked a bunch of Everlasting Daisies for the wedding bouquet
The original one eventually disintegrated so I decided to replicate same for the 50th anniversary
In same vase as the original
Unfortunately they were early this year so somewhat past their prime

Well, what can I say Pippan? :-P Guilty as found
Being a bit past their prime is probably fitting for 50 years. I reckon we would fit that category
Seeing its Golden anniversary the colour fits. Guess that was the last thing on my mind back then :-)

a couple of our Aussie Eucalyptus but not sure variety
The term 'eucalypt' refers to three closely-related genera of the Myrtaceae family – Eucalyptus with 758 species, Corymbia with 93 species and Angophora with 10 species. Colloquially they are called 'gum trees'.
