Sap Channel is from my Naturally Abstract collection. It was composed at Dreher Island State Park in Prosperity, SC. I found several pine trees that the beavers had been working on and they had wonderful exposed sap areas on them.

The Artist's Story blog post for this piece (and a couple of others) can be read here: https://www.stevendillonphoto.com …te-park-in-prosperity-sc/ (external link)

An interesting aspect of tree life.
Our wattles exude sap that is often a rich dark amber through to clear.
Love your photos on this.
