Jul 11, 2020 17:17 | #1042 I'm posting this here because it looks like a type of bee. These things did not sit still at all. Also quite windy so had to hold the plants with one hand. Any help with ID would be appreciated. Thank you. Image hosted by forum (1053992) © Pigpen101 [SHARE LINK] THIS IS A LOW QUALITY PREVIEW. Please log in to see the good quality stuff. nardes Goldmember More info | Jul 11, 2020 17:32 | #1044 I found my Paper Wasps snoozing quite peacefully and so was able to rattle off 40 frames using the Helicon FB Tube. It was nice not having to manually clone out wayward antennae or moving legs. Image hosted by forum (1053999) © nardes [SHARE LINK] THIS IS A LOW QUALITY PREVIEW. You might want to check around your property for their spherical, gray nest. Like most, they can be aggressive if their nest is threatened. I have had nests and just stayed away from them until they were abandoned in the Fall. Image hosted by forum (1054074) © DLeeT [SHARE LINK] THIS IS A LOW QUALITY PREVIEW. Thank you for the ID. So funny! When you look at the credits for this article it states a student from Penn State, New Kensington campus. That school is about 30 minutes from me. I need to start trying to idea things myself before I bother others.
