The meteor shower is the 11th-13th this weekend but www.spaceweather.com (external link) is reporting it’s already starting so if interested you might start watching the night skies and it’s a good photo opt for those interested !! In very dark skies i have seen many fireballs going the path of the Milkyway that cannot be seen in city LP skies . Go where it’s very dark if possible !

With a new moon (so no moonlight to ruin the show).

Now if we can only find a way to control the clouds...

My wife and I are heading up to the mountains in Colorado to enjoy some dark skies. I gave up on astro after my early tries - I have learned a ton from reading what y'all have to share, and what y'all show us. Now I will try again :) I even rented a Rokinon 24 1.4 for a good chance to catch a meteor image or two. Wish me luck - and I hope the clouds play well with us!

Well we have total cloud cover here now so it’s a no go here . Good luck to those that have clear skies .
