My mom needs a wireless printer for her iPad Pro. Nothing fancy, just for printing labels and recipes...simple stuff. Any recommendations on an affordable but quality machine that will work with the iPad?

An iPad version supposedly exists. See https://www.digitaltrends.com …-solution-mobile-devices/

Look around sometime for wifi networks and you may see the odd HP-****** SSID, you can likely connect to it. Early versions had exploits that let you connect wireless, then connect to the printers configuration interface which in turn if you had your printer on your own wireless network = I could then pull your wifi info to get onto your full wifi network. If I were to be hacked, the hackers would be extremely disappointed! Dont think of it as they will be disappointed, think that because you do not take 5 mins to run through and secure your device, you are contributing to the problem of massive DDoS bot networks. Hackers don't hack just to take your wife's nude pictures these days, they exploit systems, get in, and sit quiet so you do not know they are there, then when they need resources, they use your system they hacked into. This goes as far these days as PVR systems, your home NEST thermomiter , do your baby monitoring cameras, all this IoT crap is 99.999% insecure out of the box and wide open to be exploited. Even your router you bought from Dlink or Asus or NetGear, likely has been exploited because people do not update firmware or change the default settings. How about a wording change that is significant..."Even your router you bought from Dlink or Asus or NetGear, could be exploited because people do not update firmware or change the default settings."
