I was recently asked by a friend to shoot some photos of his best friend's wedding. The lucky couple wanted some photos of the wedding ceremony as well as some candid photos of the dinner afterwards.

I was anxious as the last time I shot a wedding was back in 2008 and I didn't want to let the couple down if I didn't deliver some decent photos. Anyway, the day came and I managed to get some photos before dinner which I think are alright and I thought I'd share them with the POTN community. C&C is appreciated.

They turned out really nice! I like the ones with the back lit bride. Was that real sunlight, or did you use a speedlight?

These are really great! Thank you for sharing.

The first image has a pattern in the background, to the camera right of the bride's head, that almost looks like a clone mishap. However, I see it in another photo and know it is not a clone mishap (but my brain thinks it is). I am sure if I knew what that was, I wouldn't think this way.

I don't care for the the 3rt even if the light it pretty because it seems like a staged photo. It doesn't seem believable.

The 4th one is nice, and the 2nd.

The first has nice light, does seem staged, but is okay.

Thanks Paul. It was late afternoon sun, I balanced it with a Speedlite with the MagSphere attached to fill the foreground.

Thank you for taking the time to comment, I appreciate it. I didn't clone anything out in this photo, I did use spot healing for some minor skin blemishes.
The pattern in the background is actually an arch made up of wire for vines and creepers to grow. Its currently winter in Australia so the arch is bare, come Spring and Summer it should resemble the arch in the fourth image.
