I have a 600EXii-RT, a 430 EXiii-RT, and a 270EXii. Using a 6Dii body set on First-curtain synchro.

The 600 and the 430 work fine together so no problem there.

When I try to fire the 270 with the 600 there is a delay.
Master will flash then the 270 will flash about 1/2 second later.

I'm sure someone knows why but I cant figure out what I have set wrong?

If I go to the menu on camera and change from ETTL to MULTI flash, the 270 will fire twice, once when the master flash does and then another flash 1/2 second later?!!?

AND, I just went from MULTI to the manual setting and the 270 fires as it should, and full strength because its hotter with my hand in front of it than any other test fire.

Is the 270EXii just to old to work with this new stuff? I planned on using it for fill or artsy crap... :)

How do you have it set up? You can set the 600 to either RT or Optical Wireless, not both. I'm assuming the 270 is Optical only so my guess is you have the 600 set to Optical to get it to fire? Optical needs line of site. Maybe that is it.

When in ETTL you get a pre-flash. The pre-flash is probably setting off the 270 for the first flash.
