Canada Warblers are always uncommon and, as a result, always a welcome capture. Plus, they're gorgeous. This was the third one I've seen here so far this month.

Beautiful capture Allan. Hope this means they’re headed this way. Several years ago I saw one and was lucky enough to get decent photos. Haven’t seen one since that day.

The composition and lighting bring out the best in this bird.

Excellent! You nailed this shot, very challenging subject.

Canada Warbler is on my list this year, hope they come through our area too. I've gotten some shoddy photos of them the past two years, so here's hoping this is my year :)

Thank you, Doc. If they were as numerous as Black & Whites and Nashvilles this year, you would have no trouble finding one. But they are always in the minority.

Thanks, Mathew. These are, no doubt, personal best shots of the species. I had to shoot at higher ISO than I would have cared to, but the result turned out just fine. Good luck finding one!

Thank you, Sandy, for your most kind comments. I'm always thrilled when I see a Canada Warbler.

Thank you, Ian. I can see Canada across the lake from us, but the species is still uncommon for me.
