Ordered a new Ipod that I receive yesterday ;) and then I could not resist buying a used 28-70 2.8L lens when I found a good deal on it on a norwegian photo site :) well so much for saving money for my move to Canada ;)

Have a good week everyone :D

Well the newprice on a 24-70 2.8L in Norway is about 1800$ This lens was in mint condition and I got it for about 800$ :D so I'm really happy :D
So as soon as it arrives it's out in the cold and test it :D

Meh, what's so good about Canada? it's winter 8 months out of the year and dark 15 hours a day here. I hate it. :P

You've just pretty much described Aalesund, where he's from :D It's actually even darker up there.

hehe ;) I live 62 degrees north now ;) so Canada is south for me. Moving away from the place you have grown up and get some perspective on everything is nice for a while. I'm starting school in Vancouver at the end of August :D Looking forward to it :D

So much for that deal. This morning he started mailing me that he wanted more money for it because he had posted it at a lower price than he could have gotten. :s well save the money and buy a new 24-70 in Canada then ;)

You are moving to Canada but you are also picking the most scenic area of the country!! Maybe stop off in the States before you arrive and buy the 24-70 there because it is a lot more expensive here in Canada. Nonetheless, welcome (soon) to a really really great country and a great place to live!

You know...that sums up my entire 7 years in Sherwood Park! :D About the only saving grace was it was a 'dry' cold in the winter - far nicer than the damp miserable gray english winter.

Martin

5D's arrived! I'm dizzy from using the 17mm on it! :) 20D, lenses and other stuff

Must be Edmonton because here in Ontario winter only lasts 7 months and it's dark for only 13 hours a day!! Plus, we don't have to listen to Emperor Klein too often!!

I was about to say forget alberta and come to vancouver :p. we get a few weeks of summer heat, a few weeks of moist winter cold, then the rest is an unsteady mixture of sun, cloud, and rain.

what school will you be attending?
