I just checked and layers are preserved when saving to PSD. (Paintshop Pro 2019 and X8).

frozenframe Goldmember More info | Yes there are some things that are, however there's plenty that are not. What version of PSP do you have? FWIW, I'm a long time beta-tester and Co-Admin of Corel's help forums. Ron

frozenframe Goldmember More info | That's a decision only you can make. Do you make a living as a photographer? If so, you can pass the cost off to your customers. I had the Photography Bundle for a couple of years, but had to drop it last year. So I've been using LR 6.14 (last perpetual version) and PSP or Affinity Photo. There is a rather steep learning curve with PhotoShop. Even when I had PhotoShop I still done the majority of my RAW processing/editing in LR. Ron

Aug 24, 2018 17:32 | #22 I'm just wondering if Photoshop is easier than PSP. I dont mind the cost of the program as long as it helps me learn and speed up. -----------Canon EOS R -----------

digitalparadise Awaiting the title ferry... More info | Aug 24, 2018 22:09 | #23 You mentioned updating to PS. You can't get that as a stand alone anymore. You would have to get it as a subscription. You are probably never come close to using PS to it's full capacity. Image Editing OK

PSP has more than I need at this time. I'm trying to learn about layers and everything I can but for now this works for me. I am in the process of getting my real estate license and once i get that going I want to get into real estate photography. Everyone around here takes a cell phone and snaps whatever they get, blurry or not. NP. I shot real estate for a few months. If you want nice images you will be surprised at how much time editing eats up even when you have your process flow firing on all cylinders. Not sure if you want to get into 360 degree panos but that was one of my requirements. Image Editing OK

The photography part is just a thought right now, I dont know if there is enough need/money in my area for it to be profitable for me. My wife looks at real estate every day because shes dying to flip a house since it only takes 30 mins to do it(just like on tv) ߤ . She hollers ' look at these pictures' . It's amazing what they post to promote a house and pull in buyers. Yep. I tried to do the gig in about 30 minutes and would hit that most if the time. Then you consider travel time but I was not selling so I could just concentrate on that. My best time for the shooting, travel, editing and uploading was just over 3 hrs per shoot. Average about 4 because there is always something unexpected. A few times the site was slow so I had to wait because there was a deadline. Image Editing OK

Lol... hopefully the sales of real estate will keep me busy enough that I dont need to mess with all that, sounds like a losing battle. I appreciate your sharing! Human nature lol. Cleaning the house for the photographer is not high priority when selling. As for being busy I expect that is why the real estate agents hire real estate photo companies. Image Editing OK
