I've never posted in "want to buy" before.

I got my first 18-135mm a few years back for $135.00 USD shipped.

My wife stole it, and I just spent the entire summer wishing I had it again. It went from being my go to "P&S" or "walk around" lens on the 7D2, to persona non grata as it spent the summer at her work.

Well, I gave in, and am looking for another one at the same price I paid before.
I don't care about box, etc. just want good glass and function.

Anyone not using this "kit" lens give me a PM.

Thanks.

Jake,

If you can up the budget a bit, the nUSM version is a better lens. First off, it is way better built. It is a tad better optically at the wide end, a bit chunk better at the long end. The nUSM (nano-USM) focus drive is like greased lightning; you'll love it in One-Shot, and AI-Servo. I don't have the means to 'officially' test it, but I rank it up with EF 70-200mm f/4L IS USM for both speed and accuracy. It is worthy of your consideration, budget permitting. I got mine off E-Bay for $250, all-in, and in pristine condition. It is my every-day lens on my 80D.

If you do any video work, Canon sells a motor drive for zooming this lens smoothly during video capture.
