Your Kingbirds seem to be as difficult as ours: always sitting at the very tops of trees. None the less, good looking shot with tons of clarity. You can see the heat in your photo too, here’s hoping you get some relief soon!

So true, time flies when you’re having fun. It gets me into trouble with the wife when “I’ll be home in 15 minutes” turns into “sorry I’m an hour late, the birding is unreal right now!”

It’s a mental harmony, similar to what people achieve with meditation. Very healthy state to be in, if only we could get there more often!

I sure wish I had been vodeoing this. I never think much about video, but this would'a been cool.

I was photographing dragonfly's & noticing their near constant chewing action (thru the lens). I had been watching long enough to expect that when they depart a perch, it's only for a few seconds & they are right back. This one must have jumped up & grabbed a mosquito to snack one.

I sure hope this displays as good on the website as it does on screen.

Heck yeah, dragonflies are awesome. At my favorite birding spot, I don't have to wear bug spray thanks to their predatory practices

Beautiful coloring on this DF, and great pose. When I can't find any birds, DFs are my go-to.

Thanks. I was ready for it to go for some fish, but the osprey was content to sit there for a few hours.
