I've been going to Yellowstone several times a year, each year, since 1974. We took a drive through the lower loop today and it was so smokey that I didn't take a single picture. First time ever with zero pics. We'll go back in October and hope the smoke has dispersed.

You can repost and delete these. Not sure what happens to an empty thread?

It won't let me delete the first post. Says error 3 whatever that is.

Only mods can delete a post that begins a thread. I'll report your first post so that a mod will move the thread.

By now do you wish you had a pic or two showing how smoky it was?

Hello Mel. Do you know if the smoke has started clearing yet in Yellowstone. It has finally started clearing my way.ߘ

It's cleared out quite a bit. Just a bit of haze lately. Here's a link to the YNP webcams so you can check up on conditions.

Summer of 2017 was one of the smokiest ever. Don't believe I took a simple landscape pictures last summer.

Going in for another day trip tomorrow. Probably our last day trip this year. Hopefully the critters will give us some good shots.
