I didn't see any audio threads, so let's see your gear (old or new). Love vintage audio gear I had a bunch but most of it is gone, I started in 1977 with my first real stereo and I have never stopped.

REAL audiophiles...guys who think that

  • speakers need to be bigger than 2-3" and not battery powered
  • audio sources should not be decimated digital MP3 files

...gawd I thought I was a real dinosaur, but there are other dinosaurs around.
My wife, in a decorating binge, finally convinced me to get rid of (reluctantly) my ESS AMT1b speakers

but I got a set of KEF and a good Polk 12" subwoofer that get me by!

No photos of my system of 36 years, but I had:

Bryston 1B pre amp
Bryston 3B amp
Denon DP-60 turntable w Grado cartridge
Allison CD-8 speakers

Gave it up 3 years ago, when I moved cross country.

I despise bluetooth speakers and bluetooth itself even more... BUT this has gone a long way towards easing my audio system loss.

Thanks, it really is as some of the pc games are in Atmos. The chair/wheel/shifter/pedals take racing to the next level.
