I cannot comment on the price (I live in the UK) but my 1D4 was a very good camera if speed and responsiveness are your priorities.

Life is for living, cameras are to capture it (one day I will learn how!).

I don't know because it appears that B&H removed the price once the camera sold.

I like my 1D4, and consider it to be a very good value on a usefulness-per-dollar basis.

You should have no trouble finding one in decent condition for $800. I wouldn't pay more than that. I mean, why pay more than you have to?

"Your" and "you're" are different words with completely different meanings - please use the correct one.
"They're", "their", and "there" are different words with completely different meanings - please use the correct one.
"Fare" and "fair" are different words with completely different meanings - please use the correct one. The proper expression is "moot point", NOT "mute point".

I bought mine with 46k shutter actuations and in excellent condition for $610. These pro APS-H bodies are a great value nowadays.
