Yes

where? i'm not saying it's probably not...but i haven't seen anything actually confirmed by canon...and i've been following all the updates...if it is, then i won't have any issues grabbing the 90D as the fear of a 7DIII happening will be gone

Granted they never said there would be no 7d3, both the 80d and 7d3 need a refresh, and will likely merge together again as they were before the 60d/7d split.

I can't find a specific official quote from Canon though.

Past Equipment | My Personal Gallery (external link) My Business Gallery (external link)
"Man only has 5 senses, and sometimes not even that, so if they define the world, the universe, the dimensions of existence, and spirituality with just these limited senses, their view of what-is and what-can-be is very myopic indeed and they are doomed, now and forever."

There is no room for two more high end crop mirrorslappers. Regardless of its name, the next crop will be better than either of the 80D or 7DIII.

i'm not debating that...it's more the 'confirmed that the 7D line is discontinued' it's total b.s. nobody has confirmed anything, it's all still rumors...is there probably truth to the rumors? yeah...but don't act like everything is confirmed...hell if i trusted all the confirmed bs i see here, then i'm pretty sure there would be no more DSLR's since the R...but yet there have been...

Show mw anytime Canon rumors has been flat out wrong about a body release or a body that was discontinued from the MFG......especially the discontinued brands

The MFG's dont say a word until inventory is almost depleted. Just look at the update history. 1DMKIV was not announced discontinued until 1Dx sales were well underway. Canon rumors and everyone else announced 1.3 Format was going Bye Bye waaaaaaay before Canon put out the official word

Count on it

7D series is going Bye Bye

Seems very likely that mirrorless will dominate in the future. But - still some time left for new or slightly advanced/tweaked DSLR models before that.
