Wondering if anyone owns or has used the Sirui waterproof tripods? I have a couple cheaper tripods but want to get one final tall nice one. I was looking at the Sirui W2204 tripod.

Also in my list of possible purchase options are the Benro TMA48CXL It is taller than the Sirui and has more weight capacity, so I can stabilize it better if needed. (or thinking about the TMA38CL but I'd probably just spend the few extra bucks and get the bigger one)

I already own the Manfrotto 055xprob that is probably 10 years old, A Sirui 2205X travel tripod, and an Induro CLT 203. Looking for something nice and tall and sturdy that can be used in place of the others when stability is needed and weight is not a concern.

A little late but...

I have been using the Manfrotto 475B for several years because my Gitzo Studex didn't like water. I submerge the 475B off the side of my kayak in up to 5 ft. of water so I drilled a drain hole at the base of each leg. That way the water fills the legs so they are less buoyant but drains quickly. I also needed the center braces to keep the legs from folding closed. It is a work horse but weighing 9.5 pounds makes it a pain to carry on hikes.

I just bought the Sirui W-2204 after a lot of research. Man that thing is light compared to the 475B. I think it will do quite well in a couple feet of water but I will continue to use the 475B for submersion from the kayak.
