Silly me! And I thought that they were little plants that grew in garden pots, mine’s got a long way to go yet. Thanks for the edification:-)

Teasel. Last Autumn's crop still hanging about in the woods today.

Ray I shouldn't be, BUT these are very pretty and well photographed.
Love the detail in them.
You have captured them very well.

You do know they are the ghosts of all those poor souls destined for yonder shores that haunt us southerners and cause no end of consternation to our local farmers.

That's global warming for ye :)

The best time to plant a tree is twenty years ago.
The second best time is now.

Funny you should say that, because I was going to put an identical comment to accompany that picture.

Thanks for the encouraging comments Richard.
Are you referring to the teasel?

Thanks again Richard, I was wondering whether to post some of them on the 100-400WOW thread.

Ray I'd just come from a field trip with a group of us on a community weed eradication purge.
Just lately there's been some of your beautiful English flowers that have turned feral here and haunt or better put, taunt us.
Foxglove (completely out of hand), gorse, teasel, willows, bulrushes and many others.

Sorry to hear that Richard.:-( I expect you foreigners think it’s a secret plot by us Brits to undermine part of your economy.-?
I promise not to post any more of them. (Well - not immediately):-)
