I'm curious why you may be unconcerned about deliberately spreading an invasive weed?
.

.
I never said I am unconcerned about that. . I said I am unconcerned that it is unlawful. . Those are two different things, are they not?

Teasel will not spread here in the area where I live. . Conditions are all wrong for it ... hence, the reason why it does not grow anywhere for miles and miles around. . If I try to grow a little patch here in my yard, that little patch would struggle to survive, even if cared for. . No chance it spreads here. . In other parts of my state it would spread, if given the chance. . But here ..... nope.

.

"Your" and "you're" are different words with completely different meanings - please use the correct one.
"They're", "their", and "there" are different words with completely different meanings - please use the correct one.
"Fare" and "fair" are different words with completely different meanings - please use the correct one. The proper expression is "moot point", NOT "mute point".

So you are unconcerned about breaking a law about limiting the spread of invasive species. Such laws aren't made just for fun.

You didn't know whether it would grow or not at the time:
"I once collected a few hundred of the tiny seeds, brought them home, and tried to grow them in my yard"

I do suggest that people try to understand such laws. Such laws help limit damage to the habitate for the animals we photograph.

Seeds and pods? Perhaps 'Weeds and pods' would be more accurate...

The seed pod of the tulip tree. These are on the banks of the Canal du Midi. If you see a tree with a 4 lobed leaf then that is probably a tulip tree. The flowers are very like tulips and beautiful
