Hello,
Has anyone in this forum used 3rd party angle finders as opposed to the Canon angle finder C? The cost for the Canon angle finder is very expensive compared to a 3rd party finder. The only ones I have come across have been from China which makes me skeptical of the quality. Any help is greatly appreciated, thank you.

Yeah, I have a right angle finder by Seagull, 1.0x mangnification only, it works fine although I seldom have had use for it. (Same story about right angle finder for my Olympus OM kit...seldom used the thing!)
Other brands offer switchable 1x/2x or 1x/2.5x magnfication to aid in focusing, prices vary from about $32 - 70 via Amazon

Thank you Wilt for your response. I thought it would make some macro shots and others easier for me. The cost of the Canon angle finder is 4-5 times the cost of 3rd party angle finders which prompted this post. I use a Canon 1Ds mk2 for my camera and I wanted to get a reasonable angle finder both in quality and price to use with it. Thank you.

Thank you John for your post. I understand that some of the angle finders reverse the image from left to right, that would be a PITA! Perhaps not all do that but Canon apparently does not.
