Every week we select a new theme, and then go out and shoot that theme. This week the theme is 20 Minutes from Home. As always be as imaginative/creative as you like when interpreting the theme, creativity is what we're looking for.

So, we are looking for images taken, at least, 20 Minutes from Home. So if your off for some errands, or taking a trip, or just visiting friends.. take a photo.
And really, how will we know how far from home you are!!
 :p

Here are the rules:
1. Shots need to be taken between Monday Sunset and the following Monday by Sunset (Whenever that is for you ). Because this activity is supposed to encourage us to get out and shoot, please don't post old shots from your archives. Snapshots and art are equally welcome -- just get out & shoot, and then share!
2. Post your shots at any time during the week.
3. Post a maximum of two shots if you're uploading them to POTN (i.e., attaching them). You can post more than two if you're linking to shots that are not hosted by POTN (i.e. embedding them) but keep within POTN rules. Also keep within POTN rules about size. A copy of the size rules can be found here: IMAGE POSTING RULES
That's it! Have fun! As always be as imaginative/creative as you like when interpreting the theme, creativity is what we're looking for.
An index to previous weeks can be found here: POTN WORLDWIDE PHOTO WEEK INDEX

That's it!
Have fun!

Some things are a lot more than 20 minutes from home. This was shot last night, 29 minutes from home according to Google maps. Mars is on the lower left side just above the light pollution from nearby Santa Rosa.

20 minute drive placed me on a barn roof I painted today. To go home , I drove left of the vent to the first right, past the farm houses, cross the river to the horizon then go left following the ridge road for five miles. Not a well planned photo but I'm thankful it is green again, fourteen inches of rain a week ago may have saved us cattle farmers in the area. The area I live in is made up of hardwood forests, corn/soybeans, and pasture land for cattle.
So I was working 20 minutes from my home so that maybe I can go many hours from home to see areas like teekay posted. I'm just a little envious sometimes.

Just one more from 45mins of photography all within a few hundred yards, well worth the 20 minute drive.

No, just a buoy. I thought about cloning it out but decided not to bother.

20 mins from home (on a really bad traffic day) is one of my favourite parks, parts of which are currently populated by lots of these cute fluffy things
