I am looking for a Canon 1DMark IV in excellent condition with under 25,000 shutter clicks. I am willing to spend up to $1500.

Thats what they say I guess Ill know for sure once I get it. I'm am really excited to get it. I shoot mostly high school sports and have been using a 7D so I am hoping this allows me to shoot faster SS in these low light high school gyms.

I'm still shooting my beloved 1D4. Hardly a scratch and almost broken in. Shutter count just over 1,202,000. Backs up my 1dx2 & 5d. No hardship, then or now. Somedays I think about upgrading to a 5D4 as backup. Then I shoot the 1D4. Who knows...

Dale

ps - update, have subsequently added a 5D4 - nice camera - so far, sans grip - unusual for me. fell into my hands and just felt right.

sure. it's on its 4th shutter and 2nd mirror box assembly and is probably about ready for a new shutter. but there are no issues or problems and I haven't been using her very often, lately.

I just had her out last week - mostly checking, charging and recalibrating her batteries, should I want to use her for BIF.

my better half thinks I should sell some gear & she's right - but with this body I'm in no hurry to let her go. Uh, please note - the preceding ambiguous pronoun, "her", refers to the 1D4 and definitely NOT to my better half. who, btw, has NEVER objected to any of my all-too-numerous gas attack acquisitions. I'm a lucky guy.

all she, back to the 1D4, does is nail shots and make me want to use her out on the river.

imho, the 1D's are solid tools that are designed to be used and even used hard. and still not a scratch, bruise or blemish. nice and solid. if you can handle the mass - which gets harder as the years roll bye - imho, they are as good as it gets. but I'm not parting with my 503cx nor my M3 w/DR 'cron. I've shot with 4 1D's over the years - 2 of which are still here.

enjoy...
dale

PS - - apologies to the OP if this testimony has hijacked his WTB effort. searching for a clean, beloved and well maintained 1D4 is definitely worth patience and effort. good luck with your search!
