I stopped looking at shots remaining count many many years ago. Not on purpose, and not that it solved anything, somehow I just got out of the habit. I am occasionally surprised to find a card full message!

True. With the size of todays cards, worrying about shots remaining in mostly a non-issue. If you shoot mostly 4K video I can see where that takes large capacities. I use 32gb cards (approx. 700 shots RAW) on a 5D4 and I have plenty capacity for my style of shooting. I always carry at least two spare CF and SD cards in my bag just in case.

1DX MK II, 5D MKIV x2, 24L II, 35L II, 50L, 85LIS, 100LIS Macro, 135L, 16-35LIS, 24-105LIS II, 70-200LIS, 100-400LIS II

Recent upgrade to CF Express equipped camera body, and now I have my first 64 and 126GB cards. quad-capacity of the 32GB cards have been using for many years now, and a step down in MP from 30 to 20mp,. and yet, with 20FPS capability, I could just bump into that cards limit if I am not careful!

I usually have one less than I need... not sure how I manage it, but its pretty predictable.

Oh, and they are all 128s.

10 x 64gb, but I lose about 1 every other month, I might as well buy them on subscription lol.
I like to shoot smaller because sometimes they fail or I lose them, so I spread my eggs out into different baskets.
