I stopped looking at shots remaining count many many years ago. Not on purpose, and not that it solved anything, somehow I just got out of the habit. I am occasionally surprised to find a card full message!

With the size of todays cards, worrying about shots remaining in mostly a non-issue. If you shoot mostly 4K video I can see where that takes large capacities. I use 32gb cards (approx. 700 shots RAW) on a 5D4 and I have plenty capacity for my style of shooting.
