Been looking for creative ways to see how i can mount a battery pack to my tripod. Came across the strapmoore by tethertools but is there something else that you guys are using that works? strapmoore is super overpriced in general for what it is.

Not sure if this is necessarily what you're looking for, but I have a strip of velcro ~6" long that I got from the hardware store for various accessories. I know for certain that the velcro holds my shutter release remote and a ~1 lb wireless dongle transmitter with no problem. I suppose if I wanted it, I could staple some velcro to a small nylon bag and start dropping the accessories into that instead of attaching velcro to everything.

Actually, if you want a non-diy thing, I imagine you could get a bicycle bag and try to see if that fits underneath and attaches to two of your tripod legs: https://www.dhgate.com …me-cycling/419877311.html (external link)

Can't answer directly, but I often need an innovation gizmo for my surveying gear and look to boating, cycling accessories.
Purpose built oozes dollar signs and yet there may well be something from other applications easily adapted and considerably less cost.

I use large velcro tape and attach large battery packs this way. Holds heavy lithium packs that I use and can be pulled off in a jiffy as needed.

I've used a variety of clamps on legs and spider. One has to be careful not to crush the legs!

Like this Manfrotto Nano Clamp:

Or classic Super Clamp:
https://www.bhphotovideo.com …5RL_Super_Clamp_with.html (external link)

These would accept a 1/4"-20 screw or socket, depending, or a 5/8" socket for the super clamp - they're just the first step of a leg attachment.

bike bags...thats a cheap solution if i can find one that can work somehow. Or something similar with loop velcro straps like that.

velcro works too as the cleanest solution however i prefer not to stick anything to my battery or tripod leg for this scenario. this is why the strapmoore was a good solution albeit expensive....i assume i may end up going this route down the line lol.

looking at clamps too...maybe

have a 1.5lb battery and a usb hub to hold.

To prevent leg crush I use a piece of PVC pipe suitably sized, slit lengthwise, and fit over the leg. Remains in place, but can be slid up/down leg
That spreads the load.
There's also 'Data Collector Bracket For Surveying Prism Pole'
They come cheap second hand on ebay.

Interweb 3 degrees of separation!

I use large 11aH lithium packs with velcro tape. Holds great. Inexpensive.

This might work (or not) depending on your battery pack:

after looking at all the suggestions here and weighing pros and cons, i think im just going to go the route of a velcro. Something heavy duty like a 3M dual lock as ill be removing this battery pack for everyday use also and i dont think the cloth velcros will hold up over time. Not the sexiest way of doing this as my battery will have velcro permanently stuck to it but i think clamps could be too much work.

Proper theatrical gaffer tape. Sticks well. Low tack. Removes without leaving residue.
Note that this is not Duct Tape which is high tack and will leave marks.

Best place to get it is from theatrical or stage suppliers. Handy for sticking flashguns etc harmlessly to places and things too.

I would not have much long term confidence in Velcro. This would be a versatile option IMHO.

I have one of these and generally find it fumbly. I do use Velcro for my triggers.

Another option would be a tripod with a 3/8 female in the side. Those are by design made for external accessories. One of my tripods had this feature, and while I don't use it, I think it's neat as heck.
