Anything like that exsist? I'd like opinions of folks that have actually used them. Any brand will do. Thanks folks.

I bought my daughter a sd450 to replace an old s200. Compared to the s200, the shutter lag is like night and day, same with comparing it to my G5. If there is shutter lag, it's so minute as to be a non-issue. I think that you'll find that with the current crop of P & S camera's that shutter lag isn't the issue that it used to be.

Shutter lag isn't that big of a problem anymore, now it's focus speed that concerns me.

There are a lot of P&S cameras that claim to have zero shutter lag because shutter lag has been identified as one of the thngs turning people off in a P&S camera. Unfortunately, most likely most of those cameras are by some other manufacturers, so I haven't remembered who exactly makes what.

I got a Kodak DX7440 recently for my wife, and while ergonomics in anything but the basic modes are still a PITA, that thing is really fast ... definitely a lot faster than my venerable G2.

Maybe do a web search or go to a good camera shop close to you...

Best regards,
Andy

some cameras, some lenses,
and still a lot of things to learn...
(so post processing examples on my images are welcome :D)
