Until October 31 from Adorama (external link).

EDIT: The deal has expired for the $59 final cost as of October 3.
The paper bundle is still applied for the $250 rebate, but final cost will be $119.

Gotta get it while it's hot.

Oh well another printer to get rid of. Print head sells for minimum of $45.00 so ink set and paper $15.00 what to do with all that paper.
Talley where are you I know you will be picking up another one.

I got the same deal last year from B&H Photo. You had to also purchase a certain kind of paper and it had to be bought at the same time in order to get the rebate, but B&H Photo included the required paper in your order so the rebate was valid but did not charge for it (essentially an additional discount). I had bought another printer but hated it and returned it to the place I bought it w/in the return period. This printer is much better, even though the ink is very expensive.

So for $60 one could replace the printer every time you need ink. I think this deal happens twice a year.

Adorama is bundling the paper too, qualifying you for $250 back instead of $200.

That $60 Chet mentions is roughly half the cost of a full ink set, so this deal is almost a no-brainer.;-)a

One rebate per offer this will be about the twelfth printer for me. Great way to get ink for next to nothing it all depends on what you
get for the print head on a few ink and paper free with a couple of bucks on the side.

Sometimes though rare they have a deal on cartridges. That one year they did an absolutely insane paper sale where people were getting $1200 worth of paper for under $100. I still have a couple sheets of 17x22 left that I run thru a plotter. Good times.

Canon Pro 100 inks are setup cartridges so add another $124 for full size ink cartridges when you figure actual cost of printer.
Just Saying

That's very true. However, I bought one of those Epson printers with the inexpensive large ink bottles that were supposed to save you tons of money on ink (and be "eco-friendly"), but every time I tried to use it, it was clogged & I had to clean the print heads 2 or 3 times, which used up a lot of ink and was a big hassle, not to mention time-consuming when I might have been in a hurry. That's the printer I returned (the Epson). My Pixma Pro-100 does use expensive ink, but you don't have to replace all of the cartridges at once, and it also has not yet jammed or gotten clogged in about nine months--and so far I have been very happy with print quality. I don't use it all the time, but I have only had to replace the black ink cartridge so far (although I bought the whole set of replacement cartridges). Ink cost and usage are things to consider, of course, which is why I originally went from a Canon to an Epson--but in my experience the Canon is far superior overall. Those are just my thoughts. YMMV.

Per rebate.

I've done this three times. One here in use, one as backup, one at work.

Is this true? On the three units I got, this was not so. They came with standard full cartridges. Mind you the last time was at least two years ago.

I have an old i9100 I bought in 2003.
Twice I have put it away in a basement or garage, and then taken it out 3 or 4 years later and found a use for it. In all cases it just fires up, does a quick cleaning with the old inks installed, and then prints perfectly. The time it was in the garage, it would have frozen solid for months, 4 years in a row.

I would not assume that all Canon printers are this solid, but I used to use Epson and hated them. HP and hated them. With the Canons' they just seem to work.
